Breeding Standards & Puppy Health
We prioritize breeding for improvement, aiming to enhance the quality of our dogs and produce outstanding pets. Our meticulous breeding process involves selecting pairs based on various factors including structure, temperament, health, and hunting ability. We carefully assess pedigrees, collaborate with other breeders for optimal genetics, and rigorously screen for hereditary abnormalities. Reservation lists are maintained, and a down payment may be required to secure a spot.
Puppies at Kendra Breeding will receive exceptional care from birth. They will be raised in our home under constant supervision, receiving ample love and attention. Socialization will begin early to prepare them for their new homes. Puppies will be vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped before leaving our care at around 8 weeks old. We will observe their personality and coat type from birth, ensuring proper matching with prospective families.
Our litters are registered with the AKC and NAVHDA, and all puppies carry the “Kendra” prefix. Buyers will receive comprehensive documentation, including health certificates, vet records, and training tips. We will assist with arranging transportation for the puppy, and buyers must comply with Pennsylvania laws regarding licensing and consumer rights under the state’s Dog Purchaser Protection Act.
